Fall is almost here and I am here for it. The weather, however, is NOT! If you’re in the south like I am, you’ve experienced months and months of super hot weather – hello, how many days was it more than 100 actual degrees? And honestly, we’re over it.
Bring on the pumpkins, the changing leaves, and all the delicious new coffee flavors we love… but make it iced coffee for now.
Because I love fall the most and because I know I’m not alone in wishing it would just get here already, I put together some ways you can start enjoying fall right now, even though it’s still hot. I decided to call it “Hot Girl Fall!” LOL
Your Hot Girl Fall Wardrobe
Fall Tees
The best way to transition from summer to fall is by making some changes to our wardrobes. T-shirts are always a great transition piece. Grab some with fall sayings and gorgeous fall colors on them. You’ll radiate fall vibes wherever you go but still stay cool with one of our cute, lightweight tees.
Don’t miss out on our Fall T-Shirt bundle. Save big and get two adorable fall tees and a pair of earrings that coordinates perfectly with both!
Fall Accessories
You know how much I love accessories. Changing out your summer accessories for those with a fall-like feel is another great way to transition some of the pieces in your wardrobe. Change up your accessory game from summer’s bright, fun colors to the gorgeous, rich jewel tones of fall. Do this with your earrings, bracelets, handbags, and more.
Layers, Layers, Layers
Layers are important for fall, especially when the temperatures finally do start to drop. You may start your day with only a t-shirt, but by the time you head to your child’s football or soccer game that evening, it’s cool enough to need another layer.
You’ll need thinner layers at first and then thicker ones as we get deeper into fall. I like to start off with kimonos. They’re super lightweight and thin, but they really dress up a t-shirt and give you the look of fall-like layers without extra warmth or bulk.
As it gets cooler, I start to add button-up shirts and cardigans. As I work hard to organize my wardrobe to move it into my new custom closet (swoon), I’m reminded that I have ridiculous amounts of layering pieces in my wardrobe. Fall temps are often hot and cold in the same day – I need options! You do, too!
