There’s just something about the beach. The sound of the waves lapping – or crashing – against the shore. The feel of the sand between my toes and the sun on my skin. It’s no secret the beach is my happy place.
As much as I’d like to pretend I’m someone who packs lightly and can head to the beach with just a towel and a pair of flip-flops, that’s just not true. I’m sure you’ll agree with me that a good beach trip, whether for the day or for two weeks, means having the right gear!
I consider myself to be a bit of an expert on what it takes to have a great beach vacation. And of course, I want to share that expertise with y’all! I’m sharing some of my favorite things – some fun and some oh-so-functional to help you have the best ever time at the beach!
Must-haves for Your Beach Vacation!

Cute and Comfy Graphic T-Shirts
Our super soft graphic tees are perfect for lounging around and sipping coffee on the balcony at your hotel or Airbnb. And they are the ideal thing to slip on after playing in the water when you need just a little extra protection for your shoulders from the sun. Size up if you want an oversized look.
Beach Totes
You can’t have a perfect day at the beach without all the right “stuff.” Towels, snacks & drinks, sunscreen, frisbees, and even pails & shovels. Schlepping all this stuff from the hotel to the beach or even just from the car to the beach requires more than two hands. It calls for a nearly bottomless tote! And don’t forget a cooler to keep refreshments refreshing!

It’s always important to stay hydrated. And when you’re out in the sun at the beach all day, it’s even more important.

Chairs, Blankets, and Towels for the Beach
The perfect beach day starts with a strong foundation. That means a blanket to keep at least some of the sand at bay, a canopy to provide some shade when you need it, and a comfy chair, preferably one that reclines to exactly the right positions for sunning, snoozing, and reading.
You need at least one towel per person. And if your kids are like most, at least one of those towels will “accidentally” end up in the water, so a spare or two is a good idea.
